Do you have problems with your HP, or HP Pavilion Laptop/Notebook power cord or AC/DC power jack/plug connection: either no power or intermittent power?
Common
Symptoms:
Intermittent power cutouts on the HP Pavilion laptop/notebook
for no reason
Does not charge a new, or old, properly inserted battery on HP Pavilion
laptop/notebook
Wiggling or moving the AC/DC power adapter (DC
jack - DC plug) causes temporary connections on the HP Pavilion laptop/notebook
Sparking, smoking, or burnt smells emanating from the area near the AC/DC power (DC
jack - DC plug) on the HP Pavilion laptop/notebook
Common Causes:
These problems are all usually caused by the
cooling system of the HP laptop/notebook
being clogged, and subsequently causing overheating inside the HP Pavilion laptop/notebook.
This causes the solder on the terminals of the AC - DC jack on the HP laptop/notebook,
usually the positive, to melt, resulting in a bad connection on the HP Pavilion laptop/notebook. The cooling system is prone to clog because of dust, hairs, etc. being
drawn into the heat exchanger on the HP Pavilion laptop/notebook.
This is primarily caused by hardwood floors and/or your pets - or in one case, if you
raise Chinchillas.
Common Solutions:
To avoid the problem clean out the cooling air intake(s) on
your HP Pavilion laptop/notebook
weekly for bad situations, and monthly, if you have wall-to-wall carpets, no pets, and you
don't live on a dirt road. You can also find an auxiliary cooling stand to fit on the
bottom of the HP Pavilion laptop/notebook, but this sometimes exacerbates the problem because
it causes more air, and therefore, more crud to pass through the cooling system on HP Pavilion laptop/notebook.
And if this advice is too late, you can send it to us and we will replace (not just re-solder) the DC/AC
jack on the HP Pavilion laptop/notebook motherboard on
the HP Pavilion laptop/notebook, AND FOR OUR BASE PRICE, WE WILL REFURBISH YOUR HP Pavilion LAPTOP/NOTEBOOK, SINCE IT WILL BE
COMPLETELY APART ANYWAY, AND YOU SHOULD GET EXTENDED USE OUT OF THE HP Pavilion
LAPTOP/NOTEBOOK BY REMOVING OTHER COMMON PROBLEMS, ESPECIALLY THOSE CAUSED BY THE
EXCESSIVE HEAT. HEAT WILL NOT ONLY DRY UP THE LUBRICATION IN THE FAN MOTORS, BUT CORRODE
THE CONTACTS ON CONNECTORS. WE WILL LUBRICATE THE FAN BEARINGS, CLEAN THE CONTACTS
ON THE DAUGHTER BOARDS AND MEMORY STICKS, REPLACE ANY MISSING SCREWS, ETC. ON YOUR HP
Pavilion LAPTOP/NOTEBOOK. We also
include a care and preventative maintenance sheet so that your new HP Pavilion
laptop/notebook AC - DC jack can last longer than the OEM HP Pavilion laptop/notebook.
We can fix or repair these problems without replacing that expensive HP Pavilion laptop/notebook motherboard -- at a reasonable price.
